Wanted: 2024 journal contributors

Your opportunity to chronicle domestic road racing

The British Continental is looking for a small number of journal contributors for 2024.

We’re looking for:

  • Enthusiastic storytellers: whether you’re a rider (based at home or abroad), race organiser, staff member, or deeply involved in the domestic sport, we want your unique perspective.
  • Consistent contributors: commit to at least six journal entries per year, capturing the pulse of the racing season and beyond.
  • Keen observers: have an eye for detail and a knack for capturing the nuances of race dynamics, team strategies, and personal triumphs.
  • Engaging writers: possess a flair for writing that engages a diverse audience of cycling enthusiasts, from casual followers to the most dedicated fans.
  • Insiders’ insights: Share behind-the-scenes glimpses, personal experiences, and professional perspectives that bring our readers closer to the action.

What you’ll gain:

  • Visibility & recognition: your work will be featured on our website, and our social media platforms, reaching a wide audience of cycling fans.
  • Community connection: become an integral part of a network that celebrates and supports British road racing.
  • Creative freedom: enjoy the liberty to express your views and share your stories in your own voice.

Whether you’re at the starting line, in the support team, or orchestrating the event, your stories matter. Help us bring the thrilling world of British road racing to life through your journals.

To apply, please send a brief introduction about yourself, a few words about why you think you would make a good journal contributor, and (preferably) a writing sample to [info@thebritishcontinental.co.uk].

Deadline for applications: 22 December 2023

The British Continental is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within our community. We encourage applicants of all backgrounds to apply.
