The annual Tour Series has become a regular fixture on the domestic racing calendar. The 11th edition took in seven rounds of crit-style races, culminating in the grand final at Brooklands, Surrey on Saturday 25 May. This year Canyon dhb p/b Bloor Homes won the men’s series, whilst Brother UK – Tifosi p/b OnForm won the women’s edition.
The only domestic race series that is televised on terrestrial, free-to-air TV, it provides an important sponsorship platform for teams. With the races mainly based in town and city centres, it is also an opportunity for fans to experience top-level racing on their doorstep.
One of the most popular and eye-catching rounds this year was in Salisbury. Photographer David Hares went along to catch the atmosphere, both on and off the bike.
