The series is one of the few events in the calendar that provides TV exposure for the domestic teams – important for many sponsors. And it also brings domestic road racing into town centres, something which many National Road Series events are unable to do.
Canyon dhb p/b Bloor Homes are reigning champions of the men’s series, having won it in impressive style in 2019, whilst Brother UK – Tifosi p/b OnForm pipped Team Breeze to the women’s title in the same year.

The Tour Series looks set to return next year after it emerged that Dumfries and Galloway Council will host a round in Stewartry next May. Like the other races Sweetspot Group’s stable, the Tour Series was postponed this year as a result of the coronavirus restrictions.
