Team news

RideRevolution Coaching CT will race 2027 with a new International Development Programme of 15 riders, ten of them new signings, as we revealed on 31 October. Nine of the ten are first-year under-23s, and the team will name them over the coming weeks. Most of this yearโ€™s squad stay on as what the team will call its National Team, but Alex Pickering and Sion Jones have stopped racing.

Wolfox Styrkr Le Col Race Team will close at the end of the season. Jake Vita, who runs the team, said on 30 October that it had been โ€œnot an easy decisionโ€ to close after five years, and that โ€œItโ€™s been an amazing time running the team, made incredible by so many great people.โ€ The club team, which raced as Wolfox CAMS Le Col RT in 2025, had men and women racing at National B level. Rebecca Babbage, now with FTPโ€“Fulfil The Potential Racing, rode for it in 2023 and 2024, and Chloe Elvin, who joins Pronto Bikes Ladies Race Team (below), in 2024 and 2025. Vita said he would say more in a longer post.

Domestic

Jenny Holl (Loughborough Lightning to Solas Race Team, confirmed 30 October) is the third rider in Solas Race Teamโ€™s Performance Team for 2027, after Lowri Richards and Lydia Louw, and the teamโ€™s second new signing, after Rebecca Trimble. Holl, 27 and from Stirling, is also Sophie Unwinโ€™s tandem pilot in para-cycling: the pair won two golds, a silver and a bronze at the Paris Paralympics in 2024, and she was named Scottish Cyclingโ€™s rider of the year that November. On the road she has raced for Loughborough Lightning, top of our womenโ€™s team rankings this year, since 2024, and was third at the Sheffield Grand Prix in July, two years after finishing second there. She also wrote a journal for us in 2020.

Arianne Holland (Handsling Alba Development Road Team to Solas Race Team, confirmed 31 October) has her next team a month after Alba confirmed she was leaving. She is the fourth rider in the Solas Performance Team for 2027, after Richards, Louw and Holl. Holland, 27, raced for Alba for four seasons, and this year was fifth at the Tour of the Reservoir in June and ninth at the Lancaster Grand Prix in July. Last year she was second in the Scottish road race championships.

Sophie Holmes (The Hera Project, staying, confirmed 31 October) is the third rider The Hera Project have kept for 2027, after Liv French and Amy Scott. Holmes, 26, was among the first riders the team announced when it launched last December. In May 2025 she won the Banbury Star Womenโ€™s Road Race and the South Cerney Kermesse, both from long-range moves, but a hit-and-run then kept her out of the Tour of Britain Women. This year her best results were 12th at the Florrie Newbery Classic in April and 14th at the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix in May. โ€œWith the legacy of Sophieโ€™s terrible accident hopefully now behind us, Iโ€™m really excited that 2027 will be her year,โ€ said Christine White, the team principal.

Oโ€™Shea Red Chilli Bikes have confirmed that ten riders are leaving, and said on 31 October that they are now planning for 2027. Six have already announced new teams: Maaike Brandwagt, Karlijn Koops and Evie Smith join Smurfit Westrock Cycling Team, Sannah Zaman moves to FTPโ€“Fulfil The Potential Racing, Yilla Threels to Team Avesnois and Maurรจne Trรฉgouรซt to Tenvels Le Dรฉvoluy. The other four have not said where they will race: Charlotte Broughton-Kulset, back with the team this season after spells with KDM-Pack and Torelli; Mathilde Cramer, the Danish former junior world track championships medallist, who joined for 2026; Yuli van der Molen, a Dutch track and road rider; and Ella Wahlstrรถm, a Swedish national team rider who has been with the team for two seasons. The team has not yet named any riders for 2027.

Pronto Bikes Ladies Race Team, the womenโ€™s team of the Frome bike shop, began naming its 2027 riders on 31 October. Chloe Elvin (Paralloy RT to Pronto Bikes Ladies Race Team, confirmed 31 October) took up cycling as training for an international ILCA sailing campaign and moved into racing four seasons ago. She rode for Wolfox in 2024 and 2025 and for Paralloy RT this year, so both of her last two teams are closing, and her best result this year was 12th at the South Cerney Kermesse. Izzy Rodriguez (Warwick Lanterne Rouge CC to Pronto Bikes Ladies Race Team, confirmed 31 October), a GP registrar, ran 800m and 1500m on the track before switching to cycling in 2024, and the team says she has gone from hill climbs to National A racing since. Last year she was 13th at the Witheridge Grand Prix and 18th at the Curlew Cup.

Britons abroad

August Ora (VC Londres to RNRNYC Racing, confirmed 30 October) is heading to the United States. The 19-year-old has raced for VC Londres for the past two seasons, and the New York team says he โ€œhas developed his craft over multi-day European UCI races and the domestic UK calendarโ€. This year he was 27th at the Yorkshire U23 Classic. RNRNYC Racing, backed by the healthcare company R1, describes itself as an elite team and athlete development programme.

All of the moves above are on Mercato 2027, our tracker of transfers and rider moves, and the domestic moves are in our 2027 team guides for womenโ€™s and menโ€™s teams. If you missed it, the last edition had Kate Richardson joining Lidlโ€“Trekโ€™s new womenโ€™s development team and DAS Business Furniture stepping down as a title sponsor of DAS Richardsons.
