Tour de l’Avenir: dispatches, episode 2

Lewis Askey describes his Tour de l'Avenir so far, while Matt Brammeier recaps today's stage and looks ahead to stage 6 tomorrow

Stage 5 summary

Stage 5 was the last of the flat stages before the race heads the mountains, the last chance for Ethan Vernon to reprise yesterday’s win. The stage ended in the expected sprint, but it was disappointed for GB as a dropped chain prevented Ethan from contesting the win. Lewis Askey was fourth though, his third top ten of the race, as his Groupama-FDJ Continental teammate Marijn Van Den Berg took the win.
