Riders faced a 101-kilometre route on an overcast day, starting from Kilkenny City and tackling three categorised climbs, including two demanding ascents to The Rower. The early part of the stage saw a cautious approach, but the race quickly ignited with a series of attacks following a long drag out of Inistioge.
Chloe Mauvais (Monarch Racing) launched a bold solo move before being reeled in during the first Queen of the Mountains (QOM) climb of The Rower, where De Boer and Lucy Lee (DAS-Hutchinson-Brother UK) resumed their duel for the QOM jersey.

De Boer took maximum points on that climb, tying with Lee in the QOM classification. Shortly after, Grace Reynolds (Brother UK-OnForm) grabbed the top prize in the intermediate sprint, claiming three bonus seconds, while Caoimhe O’Brien (DAS-Hutchinson-Brother UK) gained a crucial second to trim her deficit to race leader and teammate Mia Griffin.
With 40 kilometres remaining, a breakaway trio of Rosan Koper (Team Noord Holland), Annamarie Lipp (Torelli), and Iris Mulder (WV De Jonge Renner) opened a promising 42-second lead before the second QOM ascent at Coppenagh. However, De Boer and Lee again drove the pace on the climb, reeling in the breakaway and putting De Boer in the provisional lead of the QOM classification.
In the final 20 kilometres, multiple attacks tested the peloton, but it all came down to the final climb. De Boer, showcasing her strength, surged ahead to take the stage win by a single second over Franz, with Lenehan securing the last podium spot.

De Boer’s victory, along with a 10-second time bonus, moved her up to third in the general classification, just 12 seconds off Griffin. She also secured the IVCA Wicklow 200 Queen of the Mountains title, as no categorised climbs remain in the final two stages.
Griffin remains in control of the Cycling Ireland Points Classification and the Kilkenny County Council Best Irish Rider jersey, while Caoimhe O’Brien holds onto the Sport Ireland Best Young Rider jersey and sits second overall, just 11 seconds behind Griffin.
The race will conclude tomorrow with a 2.5-kilometre time trial around Kilkenny Castle in the morning, followed by a criterium in Kilkenny City Centre in the afternoon.
