Lucy Harris (DRAFT Racing) won the inaugural women’s South Molton Grand Prix, holding off Lily Martin on the East Street climb in her first National Road Series appearance since March. Morven Yeoman, racing after a week of illness, finished 10th to retain the series lead by 28 points with two rounds remaining.
The Lloyds National Road Series completes its Devon double-header on Sunday 19 July with the first South Molton Grand Prix — a new race on part-familiar roads with longer distances than its Witheridge predecessor, though women’s series leader Morven Yeoman is a doubt through illness.
At Dawlish on Friday 17 July, Megan Barker (Rapha Cycling Club) won a three-rider photo finish to take the women’s National Circuit Series lead and close on Morven Yeoman in the Rapha Super-League. Frank Longstaff (DAS Richardsons) won the open race with a long sprint, while runner-up Thomas Armstrong strengthened his Super-League advantage.
British Cycling has confirmed the historic National B race will not take place this season, with efforts now focused on bringing the event back in 2027.
