Tour Series set to return in 2021

Dumfries & Galloway set to host a round of the long-running circuit series

The Tour Series looks set to return next year after it emerged that Dumfries and Galloway Council will host a round in Stewartry next May. Like the other races Sweetspot Group’s stable, the Tour Series was postponed this year as a result of the coronavirus restrictions.

The series is one of the few events in the calendar that provides TV exposure for the domestic teams – important for many sponsors. And it also brings domestic road racing into town centres, something which many National Road Series events are unable to do.

Canyon dhb p/b Bloor Homes are reigning champions of the men’s series, having won it in impressive style in 2019, whilst Brother UK – Tifosi p/b OnForm pipped Team Breeze to the women’s title in the same year.
