What is it?
A brand new circuit race in the heart of Dudley in the West Midlands, organised by Newark Town Centre Races organiser Chris Lawrence. The race forms Round 3 of the National Circuit Series.
The route
Dudley will be transformed into a spectator-friendly racing circuit for the evening. The circuit’s epicentre is Priory Road, where the start/finish line is positioned, with The Broadway and the Coronation Gardens roundabout also featuring.
A variety of food stalls, music and commentary on the circuit should help to create a lively atmosphere. It is a fast, twisty, and technical circuit, meaning bike handling and positioning will be as important as raw power and speed.

Riders to watch
Women’s National Circuit Series leader Corinne Side lines up, part of a terrifically strong Pro-Noctis – Heidi Kjeldsen – 200 Degrees Coffee team that also includes former National Circuit Race champion Jo Tindley, Robyn Clay, and Bexy Dew, all of whom are in the top ten of the Series standings.
Team rivals DAS-Handsling include new signing Frankie Hall, Lucy Lee and Emma Jeffers. The latter won two rounds of the Series last season but hasn’t quite hit her stride yet this year. All three should feature.
Emily Proud (Le Col) put in the ride of the night at Guildford last week, coming back from last position to finish second. El King (Lifeplus-Wahoo) Isabell Darvill (Spectra Cannondale)
Men’s Series leader Ben Chilton (Ribble Collective) starts after his commanding win in Guildford. He will be challenged by Ilkley Grand Prix winner Matthew Fox (Wheelbase CabTech Castelli) and his fast-finishing teammate Tim Shoreman.
Cai Davies (Kalas Motip RT) has been Mr Consistent so far in the Series, grabbing two top tens and a 15th so far. Alec Briggs was second in Guildford and is knocking on the door of his first National Circuit Series win.
Jim Brown (Cross Team Legendre) and Toby Barnes (Dolan Ellesse RT) are two other riders well capable of a win if they are on form.
